Don't ask why the caged bead sings!

I just made a cute, colorful, festive pair of beadwoven earrings that remind me of Mardi Gras:

The big blue and purple beads are wood, so these earrings are really lightweight.
I wove a beadcap for the big purple bead with 3mm Czech firepolish beads, in a gorgeous irridescent purple color. The stitch is our old friend, CRAW (cubic right angle weave).

Then I created the bars for the cage with matte purple iris 11/0s, stacked everything on a copper headpin, made a wrapped loop, and then sewed the bottom of the cage shut.

Pretty cute! And available on Etsy!
