Look at Lil' Gumball now

This is Gumball this morning - he is filling out, and his eyes are bright and shiny, and he runs up and down stairs, and jumps up on the furniture. And is housebroken - Yay!

He still sleeps a lot, but not the 23 hours a day he was pulling last week. He eats like it is going out of style, and makes a gigantic mess, since he has no lower jaw: he picks up the food by swirling his tongue at the bowl, and a good bit of it hits the floor. Sometimes HE cleans this up, and sometimes Bailey does.

I am hoping to find a home for him, because he needs a lot more one-on-one love and attention than I can give him everyday - he'd be so perfect for someone retired who wants something to take care of. And he is just a sweet lovey boy.

And if no one steps forward, then I guess he is already home.

Thanks, PD - It is so true, it deserved to be said twice!

Oh my, Gumball's story brought me to tears.

Oh I do hope you keep him (that is unless you can find the owner). He does look much better now and he and Bailey look sweet together!

Possibly this was an elderly person's dog who recently went into a home or worse. Maybe their relatives dumped him. I hope not though because that would be extremely cruel.

Lil' Gumball is lucky to have found a Guardian Angel!

Thanks, Kim - Gumball goes to Bailey's vet tomorrow to officially become my dog - I will be asking her a lot of questions about what the proper decisions are going forward from here.

He's made a LOT of progress, and according to his bloodwork and exam he is in good health, but I know he is very old and tired, too - and I can't really be objective anymore.

But he certainly has a home here.
