During the class, I worked some more on making a clasp for my flat spiral necklace.
I have finished stitching the necklace, but none of my clasps suit it, so I wanted to make one by hand.
Last week, I experimented with several variations of circular peyote, but couldn't hit on one that I liked for this necklace.
Today, I played with circular brick stitch, with these results:
I started with this Picasso glass bead
working the second round of circular brick stitch
after one round of picot
Now I'm going to go back and reinforce the picot, and then try to attach my "beaded button" to the necklace!
Happy Wednesday!

I'm so glad this worked out -- I was wondering when we'd see it again. A brick-stitched button for the closure - perfect! Love that picasso bead.
