Abalone Spiral Redux

I finished my abalone spiral a few minutes ago (again).

This color combination is such an improvement over the last one I put together (below). I'm quite pleased with it, actually!

Too tired to get up and go photograph it for real though, for posting on Etsy, so will do that tomorrow.

Just too much gold in this one.

I really appreciate that you did a lot of work to have almost completed the first version. I think it's a great contrast and a wonderful teaching tool. The photos in this case are definately worth a thousand words. Your final result is very very beautiful. Do you ever watch Boston Legal? Candace Bergan wears some amazing jewelry on the show. This necklace would look gorgeous on her!

Thanks for your kind words, marlaine! And I love Boston Legal - I'd love for my jewelry to find its way to their costumer!

I just LOVE this piece! The result of your inspiration is perfect in the second version. I am sure you will find a way to use the first spiral as well, it is beautiful. I love shells and I am amazed how elegant they look in the right setting.

Thanks! Unfortunately, the 1st spiral is completely torn apart!
