I wanted to do another freeform beadweaving piece - I wanted to make a necklace, and decided to give freeform netting a try.
Here is my progress so far:
I have completed the "base," and am ready to start adding some larger stones.
When I was choosing beads, I was really drawn to these colors (not my usual colors - I am into blues/ greens, and purples, usually) - but I really like them together.
Here are my beady piles:
Notice the beads are in individual piles - I will NEVER make the mistake I made last time, and mix them together as soup! It may make it easier and faster and more "random", but my OCD tendencies just cannot stand it! I don't like working with them when they are mixed, and I absolutely have to get them all sorted afterwards!
Here is a more detailed look at the freeform netting:
It is working up a lot faster than the freeform peyote piece (yay!)

looking good so far! i cannot wait to see how it ends up. one of the things i like most about your blog is you post stages/progress. always exciting to see it in several stages.
Thanks for saying that, Christine!
Sometimes (like today's DWTS post, as an extreme example) I feel like I provide way too much info - but the details are what tell the story, you know? I enjoy getting all the "behind the scenes" scoop that goes into jewelry design!
The conservative girl in me really adores these neutrals! I can already tell I'm going to love it. Since I am painfully ungifted in the art of freeform, (you make it look so easy!),I will have to content myself to watching you create.
